Rebecca D’Onofrio, M.Sc., is a Senior Policy Officer at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission. With a background in project management, public and indigenous engagement, and aquatic biology, her career has focused on planning, managing and delivering major environmental and impact assessments throughout Canada. Prior to joining the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, Rebecca held positions with the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada, ERM consultants, and with mining companies in Ontario and British Columbia.
Rebecca holds a Master’s degree of Biology from the University of Ottawa. Rebecca’s research focused on the effects of thawing permafrost on biota from small lakes in the Mackenzie Delta uplands, Northwest Territories.
