OAIA is organizing its annual conference and is now seeking sponsors.

The 2024 conference will take place on October 23 and 24, 2024, and will be held in-person at the Old Mill Toronto. The conference theme is: Impact & Environmental Assessment: It’s a Lot & We Can Get Great Things Done. A Recipe for Meaningful Assessments in a Time of Innovation, Modernization, and Uncertainty. Some of the reasons for sponsoring the conference include:

• In recent years the in-person OAIA conference has attracted around 160 participants. We’ve also had between 70-150 people attend our webinars in the past.
• Participants come from industry, federal, provincial and municipal governments, Indigenous communities and organizations, and academia. As a sponsor, you can increase your organization’s visibility to current and potential clients, partners and stakeholders and network with an audience of impact/environmental assessment professionals.
• Your organization can be associated with other thought and practice leaders in the field of impact assessment, sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Your sponsorship will help demonstrate your commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility in the process of impact/environmental assessment.
• Ensure that your organization’s information is forefront during the conference.
• Give your staff the opportunity to network with leading practitioners and experts.

For the 2024 conference the sponsorship levels are:

• Sponsorship at a Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze levels.
• Sponsorship of breakfasts, coffee breaks, lunches, and speaker gifts.
• Sponsorship of Indigenous Elder Honorarium and Travel or Indigenous knowledge Sharing Walking Tour of the Humber River.

The Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Indigenous sponsorship levels are the highest types of sponsorship available at our conference.  Companies that choose to be a Level Sponsor will benefit from high visibility at the conference/webinar, as well as complimentary registrations.

Please note that the OAIA Conference Committee reserves the right to decline sponsorship from organizations whose values are inconsistent with those of OAIA or the 2024 OAIA Conference. This ensures alignment with our mission and the integrity of the event.

Confirmed sponsors are requested to provide required information to info@oaia.on.ca in the prescribed formats available here.

In 2024 sponsorships are welcome to support virtual webinars being held throughout the year. Hosting webinars are not cost free for the OAIA, a not-for-profit organization run by volunteers.  As such, sponsorships of $500, $1000 or $1500 are welcome. Webinar sponsors will be acknowledged verbally by the facilitator and their logos would appear on the screen as a sponsor along with the OAIA logo as the host.
