Lindsay Bain, an Anishinaabe’kwe from Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation and Master of Public Policy candidate at U of T, is proud to join OAIA’s Board of Directors. As the Regulatory Manager at Grand Council Treaty #3, she works to ensure compliance with Treaty #3 laws for any developments in the territory. Her research on nuclear policy, Indigenous rights, and consent-based siting for projects involving Indigenous partners garnered a SSHRC Canada Graduate Scholarship. Committed to grassroots activism and inclusive policy-making, Lindsay brings a unique perspective to OAIA where she hopes to enhance the practice and effectiveness of impact assessments in Ontario.
