Volunteer Position: Venue Lead for OAIA Conference
Overview:
We are seeking an organized individual to volunteer as the Venue Lead for the 2025 OAIA Conference. This role involves coordinating venue logistics before and during the event, including food, room setup, and other services.
Responsibilities:
Pre-Conference:
- Act as the main contact with venue staff.
- Confirm room layouts, AV needs, and signage.
- Finalize catering details and dietary requirements.
Day-of-Conference:
- Oversee setup and ensure rooms meet specifications.
- Manage last-minute changes and requests.
- Monitor catering services.
- Troubleshoot issues with venue staff.
- Address venue-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Event planning experience preferred.
- Ability to multitask and solve problems under pressure.
- Availability for pre-conference meetings and the event.
