Mike Bricks, MCIP, RPP, brings over 25 years of experience in the transportation planning, municipal, and environmental fields. He has worked extensively in all aspects of planning, design and construction of infrastructure projects. He has been involved in over 100 Environmental Assessment Studies including some of the largest and most complex route planning studies in the province.

Mike has led broad and diverse planning, feasibility, environmental assessment and detail design studies for provincial highways, transit, water supply, municipal infrastructure and master plans for transportation, and water/wastewater projects in Ontario. From late 2011 to early 2015 he worked in the mining, energy, transportation, environmental and land use planning fields in Australia. Mike is also a consultation expert with strong communication and facilitation skills. In the area of policy development, Mike has developed amendments for the Ontario Municipal Class EA on behalf of the Municipal Engineers Association; developed the transit section of the Municipal Class EA allowing municipalities to plan, implement, and streamline transit projects; and, provided advice to the Infrastructure Ontario for better integration of the EA process with the land development process.

Mike has also developed and implemented training programs to engineers, planners and practitioners on the planning process required to implement municipal infrastructure, bullet proofing the EA planning process and detailed courses aimed at improving the planning practice for infrastructure projects.
